Steven Palmieri, a Tax CFO and the Entrepreneur's CFO, prepares that return from the closed books. You get a return that matches the books, and a plan for the year while choices are still open. A return can only describe a month the bank already agrees with. If the last close is still a guess, the return waits. That wait is the honest order, and it saves a revision later.
Still open
Choices that are still alive
Three choices show up before December. What you pay yourself. A purchase you could make this year or next. A quiet month you close on purpose so the year does not end in a blur.
We prepare the return from the closed months and will say which of those three your numbers still allow. We do not promise a refund. Nothing on this page is a loan, and nothing here is a result you can clip out and count on.
After December those same items can only be reported. A close in November is worth more than a rush in March, because the choice is still a choice. You see the year while you can still change it. We write those three choices down while the year can still move, and we leave out any choice your cash cannot support. We leave a draw off the return until the bank has cleared the month that holds the draw.
Sunday work
A week that does not look like Monday to Friday
An Uptown clinic can keep Monday for patients and put the close on Sunday night. The M-Line can rattle along McKinney Avenue during that Sunday close. We can hear the car go by and still refuse to post a draw until the cash account agrees with the bank. The appointments stay. The close moves.
The Texas franchise report lands in May. The Comptroller published a no-tax-due line of two million six hundred fifty thousand dollars for the 2026 and 2027 report years. Retail and wholesale are figured at 0.375 percent, and other business at 0.75 percent. Those figures are statewide. They are useless if the months under them are still open.
Owner pay is the item people hope will be guessed. It should not. The election, the draw, and the books have to agree. If owner pay is still undecided, say so on the call. The question can wait. The answer should not be invented.
Your call
What you still decide
You still decide. We lay the closed months next to the choice and tell you what the numbers can support. The rest of the week, and the login, stay with you while that happens.
Financial statements prepared from those closed months are part of the same work. A signed opinion on them is a different job, and the disclosures page says where that job goes. You can split those two without splitting the year across strangers.
Name the newest month you already trust when you send the note. If the return is waiting on a month, say which month. That single fact saves the first conversation.
