Bookkeepers, in Dallas, for the month.

    Bookkeepers Dallas closes the books.

We keep your books reconciled to the bank, give you financial statements you can read, and prepare the tax return from those same numbers, with Steven Palmieri, a Tax CFO and the Entrepreneur's CFO.

    Steven Palmieri, Tax CFO

A bookkeeper closes the month. A Tax CFO uses it.

A bookkeeper hands you a reconciled month. The Tax CFO reads that month and tells you what it changes, from owner pay before December to a purchase timed to this year and the estimated payment that is now too high. We do both, so the books you pay for are the books that run the year.

    Read the month
A calendar turns from September to December while owner pay is decided in time

    What is still open.

Tap a row. You will see who takes that trouble, and the one reason the month gets easier.

    1. 1Month still open

      Steven Palmieri

We close it against the bank so the cash and the categories agree.

    2. 2Your other days

      You

You run the business. The close is scheduled around it, not on top of it.

    3. 3Mentor hour booked

      SCORE or the SBDC

Mentoring can stay. It does not close the month by itself.

    4. 4Payday stays yours

      Your payroll provider

Setup can be part of the first month. Payday stays with you after that.

    5. 5Tax morning is soon

      You, books ready

The filing can stay yours. The month should already be tied by then.

    6. 6Lender wants proof

      A signing firm

That signature is outside this work. The books under it are made ready here, so the signing takes one meeting, not three.

    Open your month.

    Tax CFO.

The shop in Dallas belongs to Steven Palmieri. The title printed beside those closed months is Tax CFO. We keep the books, the statements, and the return together while the year can still be changed. That is the difference between a bookkeeper and a Tax CFO. The month is closed so that the year can still be steered.

Say where the books stand. A first close can start from the last month you trust.

    What you get each month

You already know the afternoon. The shop is shut, the lights are half off, and last month is still open on the screen. That open month is the work.

Older months get finished until the cash matches. The month you are in stays tied to the same bank. Before the year ends, what you pay yourself, a purchase you time, and a quiet month you close early can still be chosen on purpose. After December those choices can only be written down as history.

Your books close every month here. They do not wait until the return is due. Each account is matched to the bank before anyone calls the month finished. You get financial statements and a short read of what the numbers mean, while you can still do something about them.

We keep the books through the month, and we prepare the return only after those months agree with the bank. The first month can include setting up the payroll provider you already run. After that first month, payday stays with the provider you run. We will say which choices your own numbers still allow. We do not promise a refund, and this help is not a loan.

The row below is a sample week. Thursday is filled only as an example of a day the month can close. Your close can land on Sunday night, or on another afternoon you can spare. The other days stay with you, on the floor, in the truck, or with the patients.

    • Monday
    • Tuesday
    • Wednesday
    • Thursday
    • Friday
    What the price depends on

What you pay follows how many months are still open, how many accounts feed the file, and whether the return rides along. Bishop Arts can hand over a Saturday of counter cash and the Design District can hand over a weekday wire, and we sort both into the account that actually received the money. Oddfellows can pour coffee on that patio while we sit there with you, and the cup still cannot say whether those deposits were booked.

The first month is plain. You send the bank and the last month you are willing to call closed. We finish what is still open, or we tell you the close is already sound. Then that rhythm is the one the next month follows. You keep the login. The login we use is only the one you decide to share.

Dates that belong in the books

At the sales tax point used in Dallas, sales tax is 8.25 percent. That splits as 6.25 percent for the state, 1 percent for the city, and 1 percent for Dallas Area Rapid Transit. Dallas County does not add its own sales tax, because DART already holds that 1 percent. A seller across a city limit can pick up a different local piece. The Comptroller address lookup is how you check the point the sale actually leaves from.

The report that includes the transit amount is due on the 20th. The books ought to be ready before that morning. When the State Fair fills Fair Park, we stand in those 1936 halls the same as any other visitor. The brick reads as beauty. The same brick makes us ask how much useful life is left on a building like that and what the remaining basis would be.

A Deep Ellum night and a Mavericks tip-off can both keep us out late with everyone else. The sales-tax report on the 20th still wants the month tied before that morning, and neither outing changes the due date. SCORE offers free mentoring in Dallas, and the North Texas SBDC at Dallas College has been coaching owners for decades. A mentor can stay on the calendar. A conversation there does not close the month, and this page will not rank the people who do.

    If a signature is required

An audit, a review, or a compilation has to be signed by a firm that can give that assurance. If a lender asked for one of those, we say so on the first call and point that part outward. The books behind the request can still be made ready. Read the disclosures page for the rest of that limit.

You can read the rest and leave. Call the number at the bottom of the page if you would rather talk. If you would rather write first, say what the books need.
