The terms for using this site, what a free talk is, and how work starts. Effective 4 October 2026.

The pages are general reading for owners. They are not advice about your numbers. Opening a page does not begin an engagement. Rules land differently on different facts, so check anything that matters for your own return before you act on it.
The 30 minutes on the phone create no engagement and no ongoing duty. You will hear what the practice sees and what an engagement would cover, including when the honest answer is that you do not need one yet. Work starts only when both sides sign a letter that names the job and the fee.
Every engagement is written down before it starts. The fee matches that scope. Work outside it is priced before that extra work starts. Either side may end the engagement in writing. Fees earned to that date stay due, and your records come back to you.
The close is only as sound as the records under it. You are responsible for complete records, for what sits in your own systems, and for the decisions you make. If something does not tie, you will hear that. A month that has not closed is not a base for a guess.
The words and pictures belong to the practice that publishes them. You may read them, print them, and quote them with credit. Republishing the site, or using it to train a product, needs written permission.
The site is offered as it stands. It is kept accurate and available. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not let a page limit.
The free talk does not include a review of your documents. Have the last month you trust in mind, and leave the files until an agreement names the job. If the time is missed, the phone in the footer still reaches the same practice, and another open time can be chosen.
Ending the engagement in writing sends back the records that belong to you. Copies kept for a record duty stay only while that duty lasts, and we name those copies when we keep them.
These terms follow the law of the State of Texas. If a dispute has to be decided, a court in Dallas County is where it is heard.
